Hard to imagine it from only seeing my girl photos, but yes indeed I do have to go into boy-mode on more than a frequent occasion. I understand that this may blow my image a bit, but perhaps if I explain more about my boy-mode appearance your impression may change.
I have previously mentioned that I have noticed that cute girls often move through society by avoiding eye-contact, but for non-genetics it is a different story. Eye contact is a necessity, an essential sign. It has been socially ingrained into my psyche that I instinctively look up and around and take a quick look at the male counterpart as they walk by me. Often enough, they will give me deep-long stair, a gaze if you will while in boy-mode.
The locked eyes that I see can be from any number of factors, such as my nicely coiffed hair and bangs, my french manicure, and well arched brows. The glasses are a dead give away. The picture is worth a thousand words, while in boy-mode. I reflect femininity, and I am read into on occasion.
For the T-girls or the CD-girls like me that need to go out in society while boy-mode it is a necessity more often than we like, yet the recognition goes with the territory, and is dealt with in whatever form that is. The line has been blurred for me, though I prefer the femininity over all else. The tennis shoes suck, but can't wear heels without a full-out fit on. That's how I roll as Delilah.
